50 NEWLANDS IWAS DESIGNED ON A VERY TIGHT AND NARROW SITE ON WHAT MUST BE RADLETT’S MOST SAUGHT AFER STREET.

Stylistically, this contemporary design sites in stark contrast to its neighbours, yet it carefully responds to their scale and the design sympathetically blends in with the ever-changing street scene of Newlands Avenue. The top floor sites back from the buildings edge and the titanium-zinc finish will fade naturally to a silver grey finish.

The site slopes gently from front to the back and the main entrance is set about a metre below the Newlands Avenue. The rear of the house has large vista windows and the basement gives way to a luscious sunken garden. By working with the site’s natural geometry, and extra floor of living space is created, whilst what is normally taken up by a roof, the top floor is a self-contained main en-suite master bedroom suite with its own private balcony area.
