The fourth in a series of four projects, Haslingfield sits in the Haslingfield Conservation Area diagonally opposite a 13 Century church and on a sloping site.

We obtained planning on the first attempt, with the design being contemporary and designed to sit low in the landscape. The front of the house presents as a 2 storey building, whilst the rear of the house uses the landscape to create level access to the sloping, south facing garden behind. We additionally added a sunken garden to the rear to maximise natural light an amenity space whilst keeping the buildings footprint to an absolute minimum.

The house is accessed on a half-level with bedrooms in the lower (part basement) level, whilst the living rooms sit atop this - demanding wonderful views across to the c12 All Saints Church and Cambridgeshire countryside beyond.
